Intro to Eco-printing

In this workshop you will learn the basics of eco-printing, a natural dye technique using plant materials to create unique patterns and colors on fabric or paper. Katie Wojno will begin with a brief demo and then you will make your own eco-printed kitchen towel. We will cover flower selection, arrangement on the garment and the printing process. If there is time, we will also go over some tips and tricks for mordanting - the process that ensures the plant color stays on the fabric.
